 Gelscape® Professional, an easy-to-use granular polymer for turf and landscape, is an exceptional blend of organic polymers, rendered insoluable by a superior crosslinking method.  It has the ability to reversibly absorb and desorb up to 500 times its weight in water, and more than 150 times its weight in standard fertilizer solution.

Gelscape® Professional is available in 15 lb. and 50 lb. poly-lined boxes.

    Tree & Shrub Planting Mix Gelscape ® with backfill at the rate of 1 oz. per caliper inch (or 1 oz. per ft. of ball diameter).   Also spread 1/2 oz. as the plant is placed in the hole.  Replace half of the treated soil and water thoroughly.  Finish filling the hole and water again.
    Sod Laying Mix Gelscape ® uniformly into the top 2" of soil at the rate of 1 to 2 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft.   After laying sod, water thoroughly.
    Hydroseeding Add Gelscape ® to water while tank is filling, at the rate of 15 lbs. per acre.  For slope applications, use 24 lbs. per acre.
    Large Container Planting Mix Gelscape® with soil or media at the of 3 lbs./cu. yd.; or 1 oz. per 5 gal. container; or ¾ oz. per 3 gal. container.
    Bare-Root Dipping Prepare a slurry by adding ½ oz. of Gelscape® per gallon of water.  Dip the bare-rooted stock and plant.
    Color Beds, Urban Planters Rototill Gelscape® 4"-6" deep at 2-3 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft.; or dibble 1 gram (¼ tsp.) per plant hole.
    Ground Cover Rototill Gelscape® 5"-6" deep at the rate of 1 to 1.5 lbs./1000 sq. ft.; or blend Gelscape® with media at 2 lbs. per cubic yard.
    Turf Seeding Spread Gelscape® uniformly into the top 2"-3" of prepared soil at ½ lb. to ¾ lb. per 1000 sq. ft., alone or in combination with starter fertilizer.  Seed, then water thoroughly.   Gelscape® can also be blended with seed prior to spreading.

    Green Construction Rototill Gelscape® 5"-6" deep at the rate of 4 lbs./1000 sq. ft.  Seed or sod and irrigate in the usual manner.  Gelscape® can also be blended with media prior to bed preparation.
    Overseeding, Slit Seeding Blend Gelscape® with grass seed at the rate of ½ lb. per 1000 sq. ft.  Plant seed as usual and water thoroughly.  (There is no need to recalibrate equipment.)
    Sand Dressing, Core Aerifying Blend Gelscape® with sand at the rate of 3 lbs./cu. yd.  Apply mixture through equipment as usual.
    Polymer Planting Place polymer alone or blended with sand 4"-6" deep at the rate of 2 lbs. - 3 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft.  Water thoroughly.
